Wood Block Print Making with Dan Miller

Corea artist Dan Miller, who also teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, will lead participants through the process of creating a wood block print. Dan will discuss design concerns and carving techniques and demonstrate the printing process.  

Working with soft pine, participants will transfer a design of their own creation to the wood, carve the design, create a test print, complete additional carving and create a final print. Participants should bring a simple sketch of the design they would like to use, lunch, snacks and drinks as desired.
