Corea artist Margo Klass, the recipient of the 2015 Alaska Governor's Individual Artist Award for the Arts, will lead participants in the creation of a handmade woodland journal.Using Japanese sewing techniques, stones, twigs, shells and other beach and woodland finds, participants will form an image on the cover of

this handy journal, ideal for sketching, writing and mounting photos. Inside the book we will create endpapers with flaps, two kinds of pockets and plenty of blank pages for your additions. This wrap-around structure opens flat for easy use, is a favorite for making future books, and can be scaled to your specific desires.

We will have plenty of beach and woodland finds to include in your cover composition or you can bring your own treasures. Fine papers will be provided for sturdy covers, pockets, endpapers and text blocks. Participants Participants should bring lunch, snacks and drinks as desired. A list of bookmaking supplies will be provided. $135

Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site.
