Marianne, who works from her home studio in Massachusetts and her cottage studio in Corea, received her B.F.A. from Pratt Institute and her M.F.A. from Tufts University in conjunction with the Boston Museum School. Her focus in art and design immediately gravitated to publishing and book design, where she ultimately spent 30+ years at Harvard University Press, much of that as Art Director. Marianne expresses herself in her artists’ books which celebrate communication and expression by reworking an old form into a new, sculptural design, transforming two dimensions into three and text into texture. Marianne’s work is in the special collections of the Goddard Library at Clark University and numerous private collections.
